SUMMARY
This systematic review analysed published clinical studies on the use of adipose tissue-derived stromal vascular fraction (SVF) for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. The authors reviewed the available evidence on safety, pain relief, functional improvement and potential effects on cartilage regeneration. Overall, the evaluated studies showed consistent improvements in pain and joint function following SVF treatment, with a favourable safety profile. However, the methodological quality of the papers was variable and there was significant heterogeneity in the techniques for obtaining, processing and administering the SVF.

CONCLUSION
The available evidence suggests that adipose tissue-derived SVF therapy may be a safe and promising option for improving pain and function in patients with knee osteoarthritis. However, the authors highlight the need for higher quality randomised clinical trials with standardised protocols to confirm its efficacy and determine its real impact on tissue regeneration.
Limitations
It is a systematic review and depends on the quality of the included studies.
The studies analysed present highly variable sample sizes.
There is heterogeneity in the methods of extraction and processing of the SVF.
Many studies lack a control group or randomisation.
Monitoring protocols and outcome measures are not uniform.
Evidence on structural cartilage regeneration remains limited and requires further research.
RELEVANCE TO EONLIFE
This review gathers and analyses much of the available clinical evidence on regenerative therapies based on SVF obtained from autologous adipose tissue. Its conclusions support the growing interest in these therapies for the management of pain and functional limitation associated with knee osteoarthritis, an area directly related to regenerative medicine and osteoarticular health treatments. In addition, it identifies the factors that must be improved to continue strengthening the scientific evidence in the sector.
